 A close up botanical study of tiny mushrooms (a family of fungi) growing out of a wet rotten tree trunk is one of my favorite photographs from a trip to Washington state.  The collection of moist mushrooms seem to collabotrate as they reach for the light. I’m reminded of a scene from Fantasia.
