PHARMACEUTICAL & HEALTHCARE PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographing specialized locations like pharmaceutical processing facilities requires flexibility and sensitivity on the part of photogra[her and crew. Many such facilities are not used to having a photographer come in to photograph their operation. In order to ease into things, I suggested an intitial walk through with the company's marketing director in order to determine key activities to photograph and set up a schedule based on when they would happen. I then worked with this schedule, used available lighting when possible, worked quietly and stayed out of the way. Photographing a variety of subjects and situations using the best possible angles, compositions and lighting enhancements if needed, plus additional creative motion and abstract approaches gave the client a wealth of material to choose from for their website, printed materials and ads.

In photographing pharmaceutical still lifes, the most creative photographic tools are applicable including strong perspective, shallow depth of field, dramatic sidelight, color gels and motion. This makes working in this area of photography very satisfying to me and my clients.
